New on DVD: Super 8 0
Sure, everyone knew that “Super 8″ was a collaboration between J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg…but what is it about? Who fucking knows.

In all seriousness, this might be the worst film I’ve ever seen.
While watching “Red State”, it’s abundantly clear that this film was made without kowtowing to the establishment. For that reason alone, the experience can best be described as refreshing, and it was a welcome (and LONG overdue) change of pace.
Listen, I’ve had my differences with some ex-girlfriends. I’m also happily married. I can identify completely with Detective Verdon’s predicament. I can’t say the thought hasn’t crossed my mind.
Produced for a microscopic $20,000, it’s a true independent film in every sense of the word. But by no means mistake the term “independent” with “amateur”.
Along with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, 50 Cent is the king of the “straight-to-DVD” genre. Every other week, one of them pumps out a new piece of shit.
Someone likes watching Hitchcock movies.
Pretending your film is a documentary, shot on video with a shaking camera, is just an excuse to make a film on a low budget without people noticing. Guess what? I noticed.
“Trust” is directed by David Schwimmer. No, don’t laugh. He’s made a move behind the camera, and he’s not terrible. With that said, I’m not sure America is ready for their “Friend” making a film about a pedophile.
At this point, I know what to exactly what to expect with a Steve Austin film. Subpar acting, mindless action, a piss-poor script and amateur direction. “Tactical Force” delivers in spades.
If there’s one thing I know about “straight-to-DVD” horror movies, it’s that they all suck.
I hope someone lost a lot of money and ends up living on the street due to their financial mismanagement and poor choice of investment in “Dylan Dog”.
